The questionnaire administered to the municipalities includes 14 questions from the ETIS Toolkit to investigate the actions undertaken by the destination in the sustainable field. The investigation is currently in progress.

Cagliari is the capital of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and is located on the southern coast of the island. It has 154,267 inhabitants (source: ISTAT) and a territorial extension of 85.01 square km.
In 2019 the capital recorded a total of 290,626 arrivals (59.3% Italians and 40.7% foreigners) and 664,966 nights (53.69% Italians and 46.31% foreigners), ranking among the 20 Sardinian municipalities that recorded the highest number of nights spent in the destination (source: SIRED).
